Air Partner battles against the clock to secure Dhaka to Hong Kong flight

Wednesday, December 21, 2022

Global aviation services group, Air Partner, has successfully arranged a corporate client flight from Dhaka, Bangladesh, to Hong Kong, China in less than five days despite significant travel procedures and challenging aircraft availability.

With no commercial flights available, Air Partner’s Private Jet Team were enlisted to support with the journey and worked against the clock to fulfil requirements, sourcing new alternative options in the face of unavailable operators while managing three different time zones.

The client requested to leave Bangladesh at 8 pm local time on Friday and arrive in Hong Kong by Saturday. Bangladesh overflight and landing permits require prior approval for all airlines, private jets, air ambulance and cargo flights, taking up to 72 hours to complete. The operator needed an official letter from a Bangladesh sponsor for the travel permits to be approved and signed forms and COVID-19 declaration documents for entry into Hong Kong.

In time-sensitive situations, the flexibility and bespoke nature of private jet travel adds huge value. Private travel not only offers guaranteed speed, but also a greater level of flexibility. Air Partner’s dedicated and informed client manager, with up-to-date knowledge on the changing restrictions was able to communicate swiftly with all involved.

Following significant liaison with the client and various operators around the world, Air Partner Private Jet Team secured a Challenger 850 to complete the trip and successfully ensured that the client had all the necessary documentation, from permits to visas and health declaration forms.

Research has shown that the Asia-Pacific region is the fastest-growing in the world for corporate travel[1] and corporate travellers place a high priority on information, flexibility, and hygiene.[2] As business trips continue to soar and restrictions ease, Air Partner expects demand for its services to rise and will continue to deliver its clients an extraordinary service.
