One of the most famous luxury department stores in the world, Harrods is at the heart of West End luxury and the perfect place to shop until you drop, which originally opened in 1849. It is also home to over 20 restaurants, serving high tea to haute cuisine throughout the day. It also recently began offering late night dining in the iconic food hall until 11.30pm, which means you can shop all day and grab a delicious bite to eat afterwards. Harrods is also a former holder of the Royal Warrant.

Liberty London, Regents Street

Tucked away on Great Marlborough Street, Liberty is a feast for the eyes from its iconic Tudor-inspired building front as you walk through the entrance to its famous focus on bold and floral prints, from its stunning starves to high-end homeware. Stop by Liberty to discover household fashion designers as well as up-and-coming brands.

Bond Street

Just down the road from Liberty, Bond Street is one of the most prestigious high street destinations which is home to many flagship stores of world-leading luxury fashion retailers such as Alexander McQueen, Chanel and Dior. It is also well-known as a top destination for high-end jewellers and art auction houses such as Sothebys and Bonhams.

Sloane Square

This iconic hotspot in the Royal Borough Kensington and Chelsea is home to the Grade II-listed Peter Jones department store and leads onto the world-famous Kings Road and Pavilion Road, the go-to destinations for Chelsea locals for shopping, dining and people-watching.

Mayfair

One of London’s most affluent neighbourhoods, Mayfair is a go-to destination for an afternoon of shopping, Michelin-starred dining and a fun evening out. The famous Savile Row is nearby for the highest quality suit and tailoring needs, as well as the impressive Burlington Arcade to explore with its jewellery and accessories stores. Also don’t miss dropping in at H.R Higgins for a quick coffee, rumoured to be one of the Royal family’s favourite coffee stops!

Royal-Inspired Hotspots:

The Goring Hotel, Belgravia

The only hotel in London with a Royal Warrant for hospitality, the Goring opened in 1910 and is a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace. It is known around the world for offering some of the very best luxury hospitality and personal services to guests, including every reigning Monarch and serving Prime Minister. For a truly regal experience, book the Jubilee Afternoon Tea at the Goring or drop in for a Jubilee Fizz, a delicious champagne cocktail.

The Ritz, Mayfair

Another iconic hotel destination in London, it prides itself on offering 115 years of splendour to its guests. After opening in 1906, the hotel quickly became established as one of the most beautiful hotels in the world and has hosted several famous historical figures such as King Edward VII, Winston Churchill and Charlie Chaplin. The Ritz is the only hotel to hold a royal warrant for its catering and banqueting services, and for good reason – the Michelin-starred Ritz Restaurant offers unparalleled luxury in its famous dining room, considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world.

The Arts Club, Mayfair

A haven for the creative-minded professional, the Arts Club is a private members club which was founded in 1863 by leading academic and literary individuals such as Charles Dickens and Anthony Trollope. Prince Philip was also a patron of the club and it regularly hosts cultural events such live performances, industry talks and art exhibitions. With four unique restaurants to choose from, and a selection of luxurious rooms and suites to stay, it’s well worth whiling away an afternoon or stopping by for a late-night cocktail at Leo’s and soak up the inspiration.

Launceston Place, Kensington

Famously known as one of Princess Diana’s favourite restaurants and a holder of three AA Rosettes, Launceston Place is a hidden local gem serving highly seasonal, European food. Diana even had the cheese soufflé dish on the menu named after her. For a special occasion, book the Chef’s Table, which will see a bespoke menu created for you by the Head Chef from all the fresh produce of the day.

Chiltern Firehouse, Marylebone

Sat at the heart of Marylebone, an upmarket neighbourhood a stone’s throw from the historic Regent’s Park, Chiltern Firehouse is a Grade-II listed restaurant in the former Marylebone fire station and favourite with many celebrities, socialites and Royal Family members. Finding an available table at the Brasserie-inspired restaurant can be tricky, with a long waiting list but truly worth the wait for a luxurious American-style breakfast. You can also stay in one of their 26 suites or rooms.
