FAQ

How much does it cost to charter a private jet?

Private jet charter per hour varies depending on where you are going, when you want to fly and what size aircraft you need. If you've got a particular trip that you would like a price for, ask us here. Flying On Demand gives you access to live marketing pricing, but our JetCard membership program offers a fixed hourly rate for any journey. If you're flexible, an empty leg is the most cost-efficient way of flying privately and you can charter at a reduced price.

What types of private jets are there?

There are six categories of aircraft you can choose from – very light, light, midsize, super midsize, large, and global. Each category increases in cabin size and range. We can give you access to any private jet aircraft within each of these categories. We also offer On Demand charter for helicopters, turboprops, and BBJ options. Explore our aircraft guide to view all the aircraft you can choose from.

How much luggage can I take on a private jet?

Each aircraft has a different baggage allowance and hold size. You can generally take much more baggage on a private jet than on scheduled services, and it is much easier to transport outsized luggage, such as sports equipment. Some private jets also offer direct access to the hold from the cabin. Our team will advise you on the best aircraft for your trip to ensure your baggage is accommodated. Ask us here if you would like more information about luggage for a particular trip. You can explore our aircraft guide, which gives you an indication of the baggage allowance on each aircraft.

Can I fly with my pets when traveling by private jet?

Yes, you can take your pet on your private jet. Flying in the cabin with you is a safe and comfortable way for your pet to travel. Depending where you are traveling, you will need the correct documentation for your pet. Let us know if your pet is flying with you, so we can advise you and make any necessary arrangements. For more information about flying with your pet, read our blog post.

How does a jet card program work?

A jet card program is suited to frequent fliers who need flexibility and prefer to pay a fixed hourly rate, rather than live market prices. Our JetCard program offers fully inclusive fixed hourly rates across all six aircraft categories with no hidden costs. You can purchase 10 hours or more, which are debited from your account balance as you fly. You can purchase more hours as you wish. In addition to this, you have access to flexible benefits, such as guaranteed availability and the ability to cancel the day before with no charge.

How does the CARES Act affect Federal Excise Tax (FET) for private flights?

The federal government has enacted a suspension of Federal Excise Taxes, including domestic and international passenger segment fees for flights operating between March 28th, 2020 and December 31st, 2020.

Air Partner adheres to the CARES Act relief of Federal Excise Tax for all flights flying between March 28th, 2020 and December 31st, 2020.
